Hafen Lesung No. 9

With eight successful Hafenlesung events behind us, we are excited to finish the second year of our series with a closing celebratory event on December 15th. Keeping your hearts and minds warm this winter, we’re ready to go with new works in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, English, German, Hungarian, Somali and Spanish.
As always, the evening will be accompanied by an array of vegan delicacies, as well as a fantastic line-up: Lubi Barre, member of foundintranslation and writer of creative-non-fiction from Somalia/ USA; Andrés Crump, fiction writer from Colombia, currently based in Hamburg; Elke Erb, leading voice of contemporary German poetry and translation for more than 40 years, Laksmi Pamuntjak, Indonesian writer of internationally acclaimed novel Amba and winner of the 2016 Frankfurter Buchmesse LiBeratur Prize; Ayna Steigerwald, poet, theatre and literature activist from Munich, hosting the reading series LIAISONS; Kinga Tóth, Hungarian poet and sound performer recently published by our frequent collaborators parasitenpresseRaed Wahesh, acclaimed Syrian-Palestinian poet, who will continue our featuring of contemporary Arabic poetry.
